Beyond Emergency Food: How to evolve your food bank into a force for change
In early 2017 we’ll be releasing our manual, Beyond Emergency Food: How to evolve your food bank into a force for change. For now, we are pleased to share a sample chapter with you as a preview of what’s to come.
Each chapter in the resource is framed by the Good Food Principles. We speak to the rationale behind the principles, and offer methods, tools, and inspiration to help food banks make incremental shifts towards them. At the end of each chapter, we offer a series of questions for you to bring back to your organization to spur discussion among board, staff, volunteers, and service users.
For those of you who operate food banks, we hope you’ll find it useful in your work. We also welcome your feedback on this sample chapter. Please send your feedback to Mara Brotman, Knowledge Exchange Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
